Name badges, admission tickets
On arrival participants are kindly asked to contact the conference office. There you will receive your conference documents and name badges, which also serve as admission tickets. Please display your badge throughout the conference. Tickets for additional events you have booked will be handed over with the badge.
Those of you who wish to participate in workshops only, may collect their admission ticket for the Get Together at Barkhof from the conference office.
If you are a member of VHB you will also receive a voucher for the new VHB Index of Members, which you may pick up at the stall of Gabler Verlag located in GW2 on level 1.
“Jam alert”
We are expecting a massive attendance at the keynote speeches of professors Williamson and Hart. In order to avoid a hold-up we kindly ask you to register at the conference office in good time.
Public transport
The conference charge includes a ticket for public transport, valid from May 26th to 29th within zone 100 (central Bremen). You will find the ticket on the back of your name badge.
Please note that on railway trains this ticket can only be used in 2nd class carriages and combined with photo identification.
After the festive dinner on May 28th there will be a free shuttle service from the venue to various hotels in central Bremen.
Catering
The catering service during lunch and coffee breaks is also included in the conference charge and the workshop participation fee (in case of the latter on Wednesday only).
Apart from coffee, tea and soft-drinks you will be offered a selection of fresh fruit during morning coffee breaks and a variety of cakes and biscuits in the afternoon. Two catering areas will be located in GW2 on level 1 and another one on level 2.
During lunchtime a separate area in the university canteen (mensa) will be at your disposal, providing soft-drinks plus:
- a salad buffet
- a choice of three main courses (either vegetarian, fish or meat)
- several delicious desserts
Smoking
Please note that all university buildings are non-smoking zones!
Use of wi-fi
From May 27th, conference participants will be granted access to the university’s wi-fi connection. The requisite login code (name and keyword) can be obtained from the conference office.
PC pool
By means of a free guest account, conference participants may avail themselves of 26 computer workstations in room B 2760 of GW2. Please note that this guest account does not include the use of printers.
